Fort Collins Therapy
“Have compassion for everyone you meet, even if they don’t want it. You do not know what wars are going on down there where the spirit meets the bone.”
I really like this quote. It’s a central aspect of my Fort Collins practice. It’s a great way of saying that we need to try and walk in another’s shoes and that it’s not helpful to judge. It also calls for compassion which is such a wonderful goal in our interactions with each other. Compassion motivates people to go out of their way to help the physical, spiritual or emotional hurts and pains of another.
The other belief that my approach to therapy is based on is safety. This means being able to be your real self and to discuss anything. It means that this office is a safe space. I respect all aspects of people including race, ethnicity, gender expression, sexual orientation, socio-economic background, age, religion and ability.
